I'm an accessibility expert, a designer, a researcher, and a teacher.
I have a formal background in information science with a focus on human-computer interaction, and have spent almost 20 years working in user experience (UX/UI) design and research, with a focus on accessibility, inclusive design, and usability. I think that it is more immportant now then ever to regard the digital world as the primary platform for communication, inclusion, and innovation.
I currently live in Woodinville, WA, and work for Thomson Reuters as a Senior Accessibility Specialist.
When I am not working, I like to spend time playing with the cats, cooking, reading, gardening, and working on photography, not necessarily in that order. My husband and I also enjoy hiking and kayaking, exploring the Pacific Northwest, board games, and are slowly working our way thorough all of the tasting rooms in the area.
