Procedures Consult is an Elsevier product intended for medical students and residents to help them learn and review how to perform various medical procedures. The task I was given was to improve and bring this previously under-supported product up to date, with regards to both visual design as well as content.
In order to do this, I conducted a series of user studies, both remote as well as in-person, to assess the general usability of the product as well as the content and content presentation. Based on this initial user feedback I wireframed out improved workflows for both the user and the administrative sides of the product, which I took back to the users through several rounds of additional feedback and refinement. Once the updated page layouts and workflows had been finalized, I created pixel-perfect mockups of an updated visual design.
